Businesses across Fife will have the opportunity to strengthen productivity and future-proof their operations through Automate to Accelerate: Lean, Data & Automation in Action, a practical, hands-on workshop being delivered as part of Fife Business Week 2026.
Following the success of the Automate to Accelerate Programme 2025, Fife Council's Economic Development Team, working in partnership with Scottish Manufacturing Advisory Service (SMAS), has developed an immersive one-day experience designed to help businesses unlock efficiency, improve decision-making and prepare for automation.
At the heart of the workshop is the interactive "Sticklebrick Factory" simulation, where participants tackle real-world operational challenges in a live environment. Using practical exercises, delegates will explore how lean process improvement, data-driven decision-making and automation can work together to create more efficient, scalable and competitive businesses. The event will talk place on Tuesday, 3rd November, 2026 from 09:15 to16:30 at Enterprise Hub Fife, 1 Falkland Place First Floor, Glenrothes KY7 5NS.
Participants will leave with practical skills and actionable insights, including a clearer understanding of performance measurement, confidence in using data to support decisions, and a roadmap for implementing productivity improvements within their own organisations.
The event also offers valuable networking opportunities, allowing businesses to connect with fellow participants, industry specialists and support organisations, including SMAS and partner networks.
With places recommended for up to two delegates per business, covering both operational and strategic roles, this workshop provides an ideal opportunity for companies ready to move from reactive processes to structured, data-led and automation-ready operations.
