People across Dunfermline will continue to benefit from advice and support following a funding decision by the City of Dunfermline Area Committee.
Committee members approved £31,000 to support the Community Support Hub in the Kingsgate Shopping Centre.
The funding includes £25,000 towards operating costs and £6,000 for a private meeting pod.
The hub is managed by Fife Voluntary Action and brings together support services in an accessible city centre location. Since opening in 2024, around 14,000 residents have used the hub. Seventeen organisations and 25 services have delivered support there. Approximately 87% of people using the hub live in Dunfermline.
The hub also helps connect residents with volunteering opportunities. Since opening, 368 people have been matched with local volunteering roles.
Councillor James Calder, convener of the City of Dunfermline Area Committee, said: "The Community Support Hub has become an important source of support for people across Dunfermline. It provides easy access to advice and services, helping residents overcome challenges and connect with opportunities in their community.
"This funding will help the hub continue delivering support while longer-term funding solutions are explored. The new meeting pod will also provide a confidential space for one-to-one discussions."
Several Fife Council services operate from the hub, including welfare support, community job clubs and adult basic education.
Partners will continue working to secure external funding and develop long-term plans for the service.
